NEET 2021 Result has been declared by NTA and now available on neet.nta.nic.in. A total of 15.44 students appeared for the examination, out of which 8.7 lakh candidates have qualified. Check cut off, category performance and more.

  • 3 students have scored perfect 720 marks to secure Top 3 ranks while 16 students have scored 715 marks, out of which 11 have tied at Rank 5.
  • Statewise, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh has maximum students in Top 20.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2021 Result has been finally declared. As per the official numbers, a total of 1544275 students appeared for the medial entrance examination. Of the total, 870074 candidates have qualified. Among the top 20 students, 3 have secured perfect score of 720 out of 720 while 16 have scored 715 marks to tie at Rank 5, 17 and 19. Result now also available on neet.nta.nic.in. 

Right at the top are Mrinal Kutteri, Tanmay Gupta and Karthika G Nair with Ranks 1, 2 and 3 respectively. The three, though have same marks, have been awarded different ranks as per the ranking criteria. Karthika is also the topper in the female category. Incidentally, among the top 20, only 3 are OBC-NCL and one is in the EWS category. Remaining all students are from General Category. As for females, only three girls have found place in Top 20 this year.

Among the total students who have qualified, 375260 are male, 494806 are females and 8 are transgenders. Category wise, 396772 OBC candidates have qualified, followed by 239789 UR category, 114221 SC and 40193 ST. A total of 79099 candidates from EWS have also qualified the examination. As for state wise result, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra have the maximum number of students (total 3 each) in Top 20 followed by Telangana, Delhi, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Gujarat, Haryana, West Bengal, Kerala, Punjab and Bihar each have one student in the Top 20. Complete list is now available on nta.ac.in.

NEET Result 2021: Cut off

In comparison to 2020, the cut off for NEET 2021 has slipped. In 2020, the 50th percentile was at 147. This year, however, the 50th percentile has dipped to 138 marks out of 720 under UR Category.

This year NTA mailed the scorecard to the students ahead of releasing the result on the official website neet.nta.nic.in. The scorecard is also available online on the official website now for students who may not have been able to access their result on mail.

MCC would begin the counselling for the All India Quota – 15% seats soon. State wise list would be shared by NTA with the competent authority. State Merit list would be released by the respective institutions and counselling would begin as per their schedule.
