finance minister of India , Nirmala Seetharaman has said that there will not be any new schemes to plan for upcoming year, despite the spending on corona virus cases.

spending is only permitted in prime minister’s Garib kalyan package and the announcements made under the Atmanirbhar Bharat package recently.no other financial schemes will be approved this year , said the ministry.

schemes which has already been approved under the budget will also stay suspended from mar 31. government has taken this initiative after a series of grim economic indicators. including the slowest GDP growth in 11 years. the government has announced a Rs.20.97 lakh crore economic package , including reserve bank of India’s Rs. 8.01 lakh crore worth of liquidity measures.
