OnePlus ventured into the mid-range segment last year with the arrival of its OnePlus Nord. Now, the company is preparing to launch a sequel, OnePlus Nord 2. Renowned tipster Evan Blass has shared three more colour variants of the OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone to add to the current list of leaks relating to the upcoming smartphone.
Now, Blass has shown that the OnePlus Nord 2 will also come in Green Wood, Gray Sierra, Blue Haze, and Red colours. It was earlier believed to be available in only two colours.
OnePlus Nord 2 is scheduled for unveiling today, i.e. July 22. You can follow the launch live on the official OnePlus YouTube channel and set the reminder notice to see the unveiling live. The launch event is set to begin at 7:30 PM IST. OnePlus will also be unveiling their new OnePlus Buds Pro TWS earbuds at the launch event.
What we know so far about the OnePlus Nord 2 5G is that it will have a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display with a 90 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it’ll sport the MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI chipset. In addition, the device will have up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, while it will also come in 8GB RAM and 128GB storage options.
OnePlus Nord 2 is likely to have a triple-camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel based on Sony’s IMX 766 sensor. An 8-megapixel ultra-wide and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. It will have a 4500 mAh battery with support for 65W fast-charging technology. The device will run Android 11 with OxygenOS 11.3 straight out of the box.
According to the latest leaks, the OnePlus Nord 2 basic model with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage is likely to cost below Rs. 30,000.
According to Counterpoint Research, Oppo and its sub-brands, OnePlus and Realme, overtook Apple in the global smartphone market. However, Samsung continues to be the market leader.
Oppo enjoyed a 16% market share and was ranked 2nd overall. Apple, with a 15% market share, slipped to the third spot. While Xiaomi, with a 14% market share, came in fourth place.
