In Maharashtra around 12 lakh ineligible farmers will gain benefit from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PMKSN), that ensures a financial assistance of 6000 .Rs annually to farmers. This was reported by Central government. The State’s Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde said after discussing the report that the process of recovering the money has begun . The recovered amount is over 100 crores. To gain the scheme’s benefit , some farmers have presented illegal documents without owning lands. To procure the PMKSN benefits, farmers who were also paying income tax have concealed it. Like PMKSN , another similar scheme is being planned by the State government to launch at the earliest . The scheme is named Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Yojana. Dhananjay Munde said “At a time of new policy implementation, there are some loopholes, and these people have taken advantage of it. They have been identified, and more than Rs 100 crores were recovered. The requirement of documents to avail benefits has been made stricter to avoid cheating. State government’s scheme has 87 lakh applicants.” An extra 6000 rupees will be credited to the centre’s PM Kishan Samman Nidhi. It’s because the government plans to introduce a similar scheme next month named Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Yojana, The reason for centre taking such steps is because using forged documents , some farmer’s have got financial assistance . All documents like aadhar and other details have to be updated for “E- KYC authentication”.
