Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden exchanged greetings on Day 2 of the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia. The two leaders started the day by joining other G20 leaders in visiting the Taman Hutan Raya mangrove forest in Bali.

The world leaders planted trees in the forest. The External Affairs Ministry said that India joined the Mangrove Alliance for Climate (MAC), a joint initiative of Indonesia and UAE under the Indonesian G-20 Presidency.

The leaders gave a strong message of coming together to tackle climate change and boost sustainable development.

Meanwhile, Biden stumbled on the stairs during the mangrove forest visit but Indonesian President Joko Widodo held him, breaking his fall.

Later in the day, Indonesian President Joko Widodo handed over the G20 Presidency to India at the closing ceremony of the summit in Bali.


India today
