Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate several schemes to overcome the water crisis in Bundelkhand on Friday, November 19, from the Police Lines Ground in Mahoba. He will inaugurate schemes worth Rs 3,264.74 crore, including Arjun subsidiary dam projects.

The Prime Minister will reach the Police Lines Ground on Friday afternoon. And will leave for Jhansi around 4pm.

PM Modi will inaugurate several projects to overcome the water crisis in Bundelkhand. These projects will help in overcoming the problem of water scarcity in the region and will provide relief to farmers. The projects that PM Modi will start include the Arjun Sahayak Project, Ratoli Weir Project, Bhavani Dam Project, and Mazagon-Chilli Spraying Project.

Lakhs of farmers in Mahoba, Hamirpur, Banda, and Lalitpur districts are likely to benefit from the projects. Nearly 1.5 lakh farmers from 168 villages of Mahoba, Hamirpur, Banda of Bundelkhand will reap the benefits of the Arjun Sahayak Project.

In Bundelkhand, work to protect and preserve Chandela heritage, including Gorakhgiri, is in full swing. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had visited Mahoba three months ago during the launch of Ujjwala Yojana 2.0. He had issued instructions to develop Gorakhgiri in the form of tourism. Now, Bundelas are expecting a big gift from the PM for the tourism sector.

On Friday, the PM will be welcomed by Governor Anandiben Patel and CM Yogi Adityanath. Along with them, Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, state Jal Shakti Minister Mahendra Singh, Kanpur-Bundelkhand regional president Manvendra Singh, Hamirpur-Mahoba-Tindwari MP Pushpendra Singh Chandel and state president Swatantra Dev Singh will also be present.
