Poco F3 GT will be launched in India this afternoon. The smartphone will a successor to the Poco F1 and will become only the second smartphone to launch as part of the F series in almost three years. Interestingly though the Poco F3 GT is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition which was launched in China earlier this year. This is a strategy that both Poco and Xiaomi have been following for a while. The Poco. F3 GT will be a direct competitor to the OnePlus Nord 2 which was launched only a day ago.

Poco India’s Country Director Anuj Sharma had told India Today Tech in an exclusive interview recently that the smartphone maker has been planning to launch an F series phone for a while but, it was delayed because of the Covid-19 situation in the country. He was honest enough to admit that this phone will show Poco’s market position in the Indian market.

As far as the features of the phone go, the highlights of Poco F3 GT include MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, shoulder buttons for gaming and a triple rear camera module.

Poco F3 GT India launch livestream details

Poco F3 GT is set to be launched in the country on July 23 at 12:00 noon. This will be an online only event and its livestreaming will be available on Poco India’s social media handles, YouTube channels and website. Poco F3 GT price in India (expected)

Anuj had told India Today Tech that Poco F3 GT will be priced around Rs 30,000. However, the smartphone maker may end up pricing the phone even more aggressively, given that the OnePlus Nord 2 5G has been introduced at Rs 27,999 for the base variant. Leaks suggest that the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the phone will be priced at Rs 28,999 while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant may cost Rs 31,999.

Poco F3 GT features and specifications (expected)

The Poco F3 GT will be the first Poco smartphone to feature an AMOLED display. It is tipped to come with a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and support for HDR 10+. The smartphone is said to feature an aluminium alloy frame and will be 8.33mm thick. The smartphone is confirmed to feature Mediatek Dimensity 1200 chipset.

Poco has already confirmed that the Poco F3 GT will be launched in two colour variants Predator Black and Gunmetal Silver. The smartphone will also have two shoulder buttons on top for gaming.

Poco F3 GT is tipped to feature a triple rear camera module including a 64-megapixel main shooter, an 8-megapixel ultrawide shooter and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. It may come with a 16-megapixel camera on the front. The Poco F3 GT should pack a 5,065mAh battery and is likely to ship with a 67W fast charger. This will make the F3 GT a rare phone to have that fast charger.A
