Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Gold was supposed to hit screens in September but that did not happen. The film was postponed as the team needed more time to wrap up its post-production. Actor Baburaj has now revealed that the film will open in theatres sometime in December. He, however, did not reveal the exact date. Gold is a comedy-drama, produced by Supriya Menon and Listin Stephen. It is directed by Alphonse Puthren, best known to many for directing Premam (2015).

It is said that Gold will open in theatres on December 23 but his post doesn’t mention the same. One is likely to get an update regarding the same in the days to come.

Gold is a romantic comedy, directed by Alphonse Puthren. It revolves around the events that unfold when a mobile shop owner purchases a new car. It features Nayanthara as the leading lady. This will be her first Malayalam movie after the commercially-unsuccessful Nizhal, which hit the screens last year. Gold has an ensemble cast that includes Amal Ameer, Roshan Mathew, Krishna Sankar, Deepti Sati, and Baburaj, among others. It is produced by Supriya Menon and Listin Stephen.

Prithviraj, meanwhile, is going through an eventful phase on the work front.He will soon be seen in Salaar, featuring Prabhas in the lead role. Prithvi also has Blessy’s survival drama Aadujeevitham, co-starring Amala Paul, in his kitty.
