I don’t get irritated, I listen more, said Rahul Gandhi as he led the Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra through Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. The Gandhi scion’s self-introspection comes on the same day when his party released a 50-second video containing a series of images showcasing the transformation in Rahul Gandhi as he walks with party workers through multiple states.

The Congress shared the video with the caption “Badhte Kadam, Judta Bharat,” indicating that with every step Rahul Gandhi takes, India is reuniting.

The video essentially captured Gandhi with workers and well-wishers who joined the Congress Yatra in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and BJP-ruled Karnataka and Maharashtra.

Asked about his most satisfying moment from the yatra so far, Rahul Gandhi said, “There are many, but I instantly recall a few interesting ones, including that my patience has dramatically increased because of the yatra.”

“Secondly, now I don’t get irritated, even for eight hours, if someone pushes or pulls me. It doesn’t affect me, whereas earlier I used to get irritated even after two hours,” he said.

“If you are walking in the yatra and experience pain, then you have to face it, you can’t just give up,” the former Congress president added.

He said thirdly, his ability to listen to others has also become better.

“Like if someone comes to me, I listen to him more. I feel all these things are quite beneficial for me,” Rahul Gandhi said.
