Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Annaatthe’, which released on the special occasion of Diwali seems to have emerged as a blockbuster hit at the box office according to reports despite the mixed reviews. The fans of the star actor have been waiting for the official announcement of the superstar’s next film after ‘Annaatthe’. While there have numerous director’s names have been in the mix of things, the latest buzz is that acclaimed director Pandiraj has bagged the opportunity to direct Rajinikanth in his next referred to as ‘Thalaivar 169’.
The buzz is that Rajinikanth has given his nod to Sun Pictures to again produce his next film after ‘Annaatthe’ and reports are doing the rounds that director Pandiraj, who is currently working in Suriya-starrer ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’, also produced by Sun Pictures, is mostly likely to helm the project.
The National Award winning director has earlier done Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Namma Veettu Pillai’ for the same production house. Apparently, director Pandiraj has narrated a script to superstar Rajinikanth a few months ago and looks like the star actor has given the nod finally.
There was also a buzz earlier that ‘Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal’ fame Desingh Periyasamy is likely to direct Rajinikanth’s next after ‘Annaatthe’. But the young director has denied the same and has said that he will update about his next project soon.
