Another day and we have another leak on a Xiaomi phone. The smartphone maker is believed to be working on the Redmi K50 Gaming series as well, along with several other smartphones it is planning to launch over the next few months. The line-up may include two smartphones – Redmi K50 Gaming Standard Edition and Redmi K50 Gaming Pro. Both the smartphones could be launched in April 2022. Interestingly, the Redmi K50 Gaming Standard Edition can be a China exclusive, while the Redmi K50 Gaming Pro may be introduced in the global markets.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition this year in China and later introduced it in other markets (including India) as the Poco F3 GT. The Redmi K50 Gaming series will act as a successor to the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition and should bring a number of upgrades on the previous generation device. The information has been shared by the noted leaker xiaomiui based on its IMEI listing.

The leaker claims that the Redmi K50 Gaming Standard Edition and Redmi K50 Gaming Pro will be codenamed, Matisse (derived from French artist Henri Matisse) and Rubens (derived from German artist Peter Paul Rubens). The standard model is expected to have the model number L11A, while the latter is said to have model number L10. The specifications of both these smartphones have also been leaked.

The Redmi K50 Gaming Standard Edition is tipped to arrive in China with model number 22041211AC aka L11A. It is likely to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7000 chipset. The smartphone is said to feature a triple rear camera unit with a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GW3 sensor. Meanwhile, the Redmi K50 Gaming Pro will be available in three variants under the model numbers 21121210C, 21121210I, and 21121210G respectively. It is tipped to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC.

In global markets, the smartphone can be called Poco F4 GT. The phone is expected to come with a 120Hz or 144Hz OLED display with Goodix and FPC fingerprint sensors. The handset is tipped to feature a quad rear camera setup at the back. The phone may have a 64-megapixel Sony Exmor IMX686 sensor as the main camera. It is likely to feature a 13-megapixel wide-angle sensor, 8-megapixel telemacro sensor, and 2-megapixel depth sensor
