The Redmi Note 12 series is launching in India this week. The lineup will include three devices – the Redmi Note 12, the Redmi Note 12 Pro, and the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus. The smartphones are all set to go official on January 5. Ahead of the launch, many details of the Redmi Note 12 devices have been confirmed by Redmi. The latest information that the company has revealed is about the Redmi Note 12 Pro.

The smartphone manufacturer confirms the camera details of the Redmi Note 12 Pro and also posts sample shots of the upcoming phone. The samples show a good amount of detail and the colours also look great. In fact, by the looks of it, the camera samples shot with the Redmi Note 12 Pro look absolutely Instagram-worthy, which means the photos clicked with the phone do not require additional editing or colour correction. The smartphone manufacturer has confirmed that the upcoming Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera on the rear panel. The phone will pack a triple rear camera system.

Redmi Note 12 Pro specifications

Now, the Redmi Note 12 Pro has already been available in China for the last few weeks and the same model is expected to hit the Indian market. In other words, the specs that the Chinese model offers will be the same for the Indian variant.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Redmi Note 12 Pro comes packed with a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with 2400 X 1080 pixels screen resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone also offers a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. There’s support for stereo speakers as well.

On the hardware front, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In China, the phone comes in four variants and the same models could be brought to India as well. The variants include — 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. On the software front, the phone runs on Android 12-based MIUI 13 custom skin out of the box. It is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. We could see the same charging capabilities in India as well.

In terms of camera specifications, the Redmi Note 12 Pro includes a triple camera system consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. On the front, the phone comes packed with a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The phone also offers several connectivity options, including — 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C port. For security, the phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
