 In Kurnool, on Sunday Irrigation Department received instructions from District Collector Satyanarayana. It was to release the Krishna water from the Handri Neeva main canal to the Gajuladinne project.                                                                                                                        The Kothapalli HNSS main canal was inspected.Mr.Satyanarayana said owing to deficit rainfall steps were being taken to have sufficient water under the project. In Summer to avoid any kind of water shortage, efforts were made for people to have access to drinking water.“By storing water, we can deal with the possible shortage of drinking water in Kurnool, Dhone, and Yemmiganur. If fields face a shortage of water, we will supply them with water by digging a feeder channel,” he added. Under the project, 3.5 TMC feet of water has to be stored. Inspection team consisted of Irrigation Department CE Narayana Reddy, SE Ramachandramurthy, Municipal Commissioner Harinatha Reddy and Adoni RDO Ramamurthy.
