Salman Khan took to social media to share a photo of himself with Olympic silver medalist Mirabai Chanu. The actor wrote that he is happy for the 27-year-old weightlifter as he won an Olympic medal for the country. In the photo, the Olympian is all smiles as she poses with the film star. Mirabai Chanu is among the seven Indian athletes who won medals for the country at the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Olympic silver medalist Mirabai Chanu recently met Salman Khan after her return from Tokyo. The actor shared a photo of them from their meeting. In the photo, both of them can be seen posing for the camera. Chanu’s smile is proof that she was elated to meet the Dabangg Khan. Salman extended his best wishes for the weightlifter and wrote, “Happy for u silver medalist @mirabai_chanu .. lovely meeting with u best wishes always! (sic).”

MIRABAI SAYS IT WAS A DREAM COME TRUE FOR HER

Mirabai Chanu retweeted Salman Khan’s tweet and thanked the actor for his kind words. She wrote, “Thank you so much @BeingSalmanKhan sir. I am a big fan of you and it was like a dream come true for me (sic).”

Mirabai Chanu was India’s first player to win a medal for the country at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She won the silver medal in the Women’s 49 kg weightlifting category. Hailing from Manipur, Mirabai celebrated her 27th birthday at CM N Biren Singh’s residence on August 8.

Talking about Salman Khan, the actor is busy with the shooting of Tiger 3. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film is the third film in the Tiger Franchise. It also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles. Apart from Tiger 3, Salman will also be seen in a cameo appearance in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan. Salman also has Mahesh Manjrekar’s Antim in his kitty. The actor will be hosting the next season of Bigg Boss on Colors TV. The OTT version of the show, which is currently being hosted by Karan Johar, is streaming on Voot.
