Samsung Galaxy S23 series is now official in India. The lineup includes three phones — the Galaxy S23, the Galaxy S23 Plus and the Galaxy S23 Ultra. In India, the Samsung Galaxy S23 is priced at Rs 74,999 while the Galaxy S23 Plus and the Galaxy S23 Ultra start at a price of Rs 94,999 and Rs 1,24,999 respectively. The Samsung Galaxy S23 goes against the likes of iPhone 14, and possibly also the upcoming OnePlus 11.

The pre-book for the Galaxy S23 series starts from February 2 across all leading online and offline retail stores. The phones come in four colour options — phantom black, green, cream and lavender.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra specifications

With the launch of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung brings a host of new features and meaningful tweaks in various departments. As far as specifications are concerned, the S23 Ultra comes packed with a 6.8-inch QHD+ display with 3088 x 1440 pixels resolution, Dynamic AMOLED panel and 120hz screen refresh rate. Just as Galaxy S22 Ultra, the Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with support for S Pen.

It is powered by a customised version of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The device comes in three variants – 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 512GB storage and 12GB RAM + 1TB storage. It also supports real time Ray Tracing and Vapor Cooling Chamber. On the software front, the phone runs on Android 13 with custom One UI 5.1 skip on top. It is backed by a 5000mAh battery with support for wired as well as wireless fast charging out of the box.

On the camera front, the Galaxy S23 Ultra features an in-house developed 200-megapixel camera coupled with two 10-megapixel telephoto lenses, and 12-megapixel ultrawide angle camera. On the front, the S23 Ultra includes a 50-megapixel selfie camera that sits inside the hole punch display.

Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus offer similar design. The Plus model features a bigger screen. As far as specifications are concerned, the Galaxy S23 comes packed with a 6.1-inch display while the S23 Plus features a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with 2340x 1080 pixels resolution.

Both these phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor coupled with up to 8GB RAM + 512GB of internal storage. The S23 comes in three variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 8GB RAM + 512GB storage. The S23 Plus, on the other hand, comes only in two variants – 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 8GB RAM+ 512GB storage. The phones run on Android 13 with custom One UI 5.1 skip on top.

Both these phones feature triple rear camera system with 50-megapixel primary lens coupled with 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and 10-megapixel telephoto lens. The Samsung Galaxy S23 is backed by a 3900mAh battery while the S23 Plus features 4700mAh battery with support for fast charging out of the box
