State Bank of India, SBI Clerk 2021 exam date for preliminary examinations was postponed. Earlier scheduled to be conducted in the month of June, the bank had released the notice to defer the examinations. With the preliminary exams now postponed, it is likely that the SBI Clerk 2021 exam date for main examinations of July 31 may also get postponed.

As per the experts, SBI can still conduct the main examination on July 31 provided the preliminary examinations are conducted in the first week of July. Sources close to the recruitment board of the bank have shared that exam dates would only be declared when it is conducive to conduct large scale examinations.

As for the July 31 exam for SBI Clerk Mains, if the preliminary exams are conducted after July 15, experts are of the opinion that the main exam would be shifted to August mid. Actual gap of about 15 to 21 days between the two (preliminary and main exam) is required.

SBI Clerk 2021: Tentative Exam Dates

As for tentative dates, experts have shared that a date in first week of July is possible if the daly active case load reduces substantially. On a number, many were of the opinion that a daily active number in the range of 35,000 to 50,000 new cases may be possible for conducting the examinations.

“There is no clarity as to when the examination may actually be conducted. However, with the cases expected to dip below 50K by end of June (as per the projection models), it is possible that SBI may conduct the preliminary exams by first week of July or latest by July 11,” shared Ms. Neetu Singh who conducts coaching for banking exams.

Candidates may please note that so far there is no update regarding the examination. The dates shared are only possible and as per the experience of various experts. SBI is likely to announce the dates soon on sbi.co.in/careers. Candidates are advised to keep a check on the official site.
