In West Bengal Bolpur’s railway station a train had to be halted because of stone pelting . Vande Bharat express that usually has a stopover of 2 mins had to be halted for 10 mins. But such an incident was denied by North East Frontier Railway (NFR). A first hand inquiry was held and then only the statement was released by NFR. “It was a rumour as some passengers claimed that they heard a sound. The sound was not due to stone pelting. In fact, the scratch on the window was not due to stone pelting,” the NFR said. In a span of seven days , it’s the second time the supposed stone- pelting incident took place. On Sunday it was hurling stones at C14 train compartment. Luckily no major setbacks occurred. Investigations are going on in full swing and clips of police officials taking note has been circulated. It took place just before reaching the Malta station. Last stone pelting incident took place when the train passed through Bihar. It was on it’s way from Howrah to now Jalpaiguri. The NIA was insisted to probe by the BJP. On December 30 , the train was flagged off virtually by Modi from the famous Howrah Railway Station.
