During a police search at their home, Shilpa Shetty lashed out at Raj Kundra for tarnishing the family’s reputation after his arrest for his involvement in the porn video racket. On Friday (July 23) Mumbai police officials, along with the businessman, visited Raj Kundra’s home for a search and recorded Shilpa’s statement. Raj was arrested on July 19. He has been sent to a 14-day judicial custody.

SHILPA SHETTY ASKED RAJ KUNDRA WHAT WAS THE NEED

When Raj Kundra visited his home with Mumbai police officials after spending days in jail, Shilpa Shetty reportedly broke down. She apparently told her husband that the matter is portraying the family in a bad light and several endorsements have suffered and backed off in the wake of the case, officials present at her residence told India Today.

“We have everything, what was the need to do all this,” the actress asked Raj Kundra, NDTV reported, quoting sources.

Raj Kundra is allegedly involved in the production and streaming of pornographic content through an app called HotShots.

SHILPA SHETTY QUESTIONED TWICE, NO INVOLVEMENT IN THE CASE

Shilpa Shetty has been questioned twice in the case. She was also a partner in Raj Kundra’s company that created HotShots. However, she resigned from the post last year. Police officials say that no evidence tying her to the alleged porn operation has been found. “Shilpa Shetty has no role to play in the case. Till now, no involvement of Shilpa Shetty is found in the case. We are therefore not going to question her again,” the officer told India Today.

Sources told ANI, “Shilpa was very upset after the interrogation. She and Kundra had a huge argument where she shouted and asked him what the need was to do such a thing and why he did everything. The crime branch team had to intervene between the couple to pacify the actress.”

Raj Kundra has been booked under Sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292 and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act. On Tuesday (July 27), he was sent to 14 days in judicial custody.
