Silambarasan’s ‘Maanaadu’ with Venkat Prabhu has been one of the long-awaited Tamil films, and the pandemic has delayed the film’s production. But the film was finally announced to hit the big screen for this Diwali, and fans had set a countdown to welcome their favorite star. Now, the disappointing report is that Silambarasan’s ‘Maanaadu’ walked out from the Diwali race for a safe business. Considering the film’s business, Silambarasan’s ‘Maanaadu’ makers have decided to postpone their release as already two biggies Rajinikanth’s ‘Annaatthe’ and Vishal’s ‘Enemy’ are scheduled to release for this Diwali, and they have kickstarted their promotions already.

Also, the post-production work for ‘Maanaadu’ is yet to be completed, and the makers didn’t want to urge the team. ‘Maanaadu’ producer Suresh Kamatchi has clarified that the motive behind the film is not competing with anyone but it is customary for people to watch more than one film on a festival day. With that in mind, the makers decided to walk out from the Diwali release. Distributors, who have paid for the theatrical release, should see a profit through their film release, so the film release is postponed from Diwali to November 25th. With this explanation coming from the film’s team, fans accept the decision of ‘Maanaadu’ makers and support them by backing them.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is currently working on the background score for ‘Maanaadu’, and the film is yet to go for censors.
