Don’t obsess on what you’ll Get

So many people I meet primarily focus on goals, outcomes, and how they’ll be rewarded.

It’s good to keep those things in mind, but before you do, you need to decide on the actions you’re going to take to get you there.

You must figure out HOW AND WHAT YOU’LL GIVE before you can have any chance of GETTING WHAT YOU WANT.

Here’s the right way to approach things.

You can’t always control your COMPENSATION, but you can control your CONTRIBUTION. In other words, concentrate on your processes and your standards first. Decide what you’re willing to invest and then put everything you’ve got into that effort.

Do this and YOU WILL BE REWARDED.

I’m not just talking about business here, either. The same applies to your RELATIONSHIPS, HEALTH, FAMILY, and every other part of your life as well.

The other cool thing is that when you are compensated, many times it comes to you in ways you never could have IMAGINED. You will find a greater sense of purpose, belonging, and equanimity in addition to the tangible benefits you’ll receive.

Effort works.
