Brace yourself, for a new song from Taapsee Pannu’s Rashmi Rocket just dropped. Titled Ghani Cool Chori, the Navratri special number is, well, really cool. The song is composed by Amit Trivedi and sung by Bhoomi Trivedi. Taapsee is seen donning a traditional ghagra-choli in the foot-tapping number.

GHANI COOL CHORI OUT

After a hard-hitting trailer, it is time to put your garba shoes on, for a new Navratri special song has arrived. Ushering in the festive season, Ghani Cool Chori, from Taapsee Pannu-starrer Rashmi Rocket is an upbeat track that’s hitting all the right notes. The dance number Ghani Cool Chori features Taapsee and her on-screen husband Priyanshu Painyuli dancing to the lively tunes. The song also features Supriya Pathak. But the best part about the song? Taapsee doing the garba in sneakers!

Sharing the song on Instagram, Taapsee wrote, “Time to put your garba shoes on cozTodi nakhyu fodi naakhyu bhukko bolaavi didho!!!!! #GhaniCoolChori out now From #RashmiRocket See you all on Dussehra only on @zee5 (sic).” Rashmi ROcket will release on Zee5 on October 15.

RASHMI ROCKET QUESTIONS BIASED GENDER TESTS

The trailer of Rashmi Rocket was released on September 23 and instantly became a hit. The film questions biased and armchair gender testing female athletes are made to go through. Taapsee’s Rashmi will remind one and all about Dutee Chand and her story from 2014.

WHEN TAAPSEE WAS TROLLED FOR HER ‘MARD KI BODY’

Before the release of the trailer, a troll on Twitter took a jibe at Taapsee Pannu’s athletic body and called it ‘mard ki body’. Taapsee soon hit back, asking him to wait for September 23, the day the trailer was to drop, suggesting that his comment will read differently. Taapsee had to go through a physical transformation and build the body of an athlete. And she looks absolutely stunning.

In Rashmi Rocket, Taapsee Pannu plays a fast runner Rashmi. Priyanshu Painyuli is seen in the role of her husband. Veteran actress Supriya Pathak plays Taapsee’s mother in the film. Abhishek Banerjee of Pataal Lok fame plays the lawyer who represents Taapsee’s Rashmi in court as she fights the outdated gender tests female athletes are subjected to.

Written by Nanda Periyasamy, Aniruddha Guha and Kanika Dhillon, Rashmi Rocket is produced by Ronnie Screwvala along with Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya.
