Adoctor from Madurai Government Hospital, Tamil Nadu, was killed in a car accident on Monday when he tried to overtake a bus.

Karthikeyan, the doctor who was driving the car, was crushed under another bus after colliding with it.

A video of the incident showed Karthikeyan trying to overtake a state bus at high speed. He, however, lost control over the car and climbed over the median before crashing into a bus coming on the opposite lane.

Fire and rescue personnel rushed to the spot and pulled out the body from the Debris. The body was sent for autopsy.

The traffic department has collected CCTV footage of the area around the accident site and is investigating the matter.
