Teachers Day Tomorrow celebration at Chennai

On the occasion of the Teachers Day being celebrated tomorrow (5th September), a function has been scheduled to honour and award prizes and titles to the teachers, students, and the schools.

Teachers’ Day is celebrated on behalf of the state government of Tamil Nadu at Chennai Kalaivanar Arangam. 363 teachers will be accorded with the honour of ‘Nallasiriyar award’ (great teacher) on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government. 2 of the teacher belong to the category of differently-abled.

In a similar honour, 40 schools, which maintained their complex/premises clean and healthy will be awarded ‘Thuimai Palli’ (clean schools).‘Kamarjar Virudhu’ will be given to 960 students who scored high marks studying in Tamil medium.
