John Kokken, who played the role of a boxer, Vembuli, in Arya-starrer Sarpatta Parambarai revealed in an interview how Thala Ajith called and congratulated him on his performance in the film. During an interview with ABP Tamil, the actor spoke about his inspiration and role model Thala Ajith and how he has always encouraged him and told him that his time to shine would come.

John Kokken was surprised when he got a call from Thala Ajith congratulating him for his performance as Vembuli in Sarpatta Parambarai. In an interview, John revealed how he has always found comforting words from the Valimai actor, who has always supported and encouraged him. Whenever things got hard, John would turn to Thala Ajith, who told him his time would come when his talent would shine through.

Sarpatta Parambarai released on July 22 on Amazon Prime Video. Directed by Pa Ranjith, it sees John as Vembuli from the Idiyappa clan, who is the main competitor to Arya from the Sarpatta clan.

Art director T Ramalingam and editor Selva RK were brought onboard for the film. The film released on Amazon Prime Video on July 22.
