Despite giving impeccable performances and conquering the hearts of the cinephiles, there have been actors and technicians, who faded away from the hearts and the history of cinema.

In the first episode of #TheForgottenOne, we are reintroducing actor Ravi Krishna of ‘7G Rainbow Colony’ fame.
Ravi Krishna, the son of popular producer A .M. Ratnam, made his debut as a hero with the 2004 romantic drama ‘7G Rainbow Colony ‘, which was directed by Selvaraghavan. He essayed the role of a carefree youngster, who falls in love with an alluring girl. He delivered a brilliant performance and bagged the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actor (Male).

Grabbing eyeballs for the debut movie is not that easy, however, Ravi Krishna managed to win hearts. But did you know, that he never intended to be an actor? It was his father, who suggested Ravi Krishna, try his hands at acting, while they visited India. Although Ravi Krishna wasn’t keen on acting, he gradually fell in love with cinema and did challenging roles including in the films ‘Kedi’, ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, and ‘Aaranya Kaandam’, among others.

Despite landing in the extremely competitive industry, Ravi Krishna managed to awe the audience and his character Sappai in Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s ‘Aaranya Kaandam’, released in 2011 is proof.

Ravi Krishna didn’t appear in movies post-2011, however, the actor manages to charm the audience whenever his movie ‘7G Rainbow Colony’ gets aired on television.

The ‘7G Rainbow Colony’ actor has stayed tight-lipped about his comeback, despite his fans’ continuous requests. A year ago, director Selvaraghavan had expressed his plans to make a sequel to ‘7G Rainbow Colony’ and it could be nothing short of a perfect second opening for Ravi Krishna!
