OnePlus RT launch has been rumoured for weeks, and now, we have a date when the company may finally announce the smartphone in India. Though not from OnePlus, the new leak comes from a tipster who has had a good track with the company-related announcements.

The OnePlus RT, the rebranded OnePlus 9RT that launched in India, is likely to make its way to India on December 16. In addition, the company is also expected to launch the OnePlus Buds Z2 truly wireless earphones in India. The launch date comes courtesy of Max Jambor, who was the first one to confirm the OnePlus Nord 2 Pac x Man Edition smartphone.

There are no more details apart from a date from Jambor. Based on preliminary leaks, the OnePlus RT will be a rebranded OnePlus 9RT that made its way in China last month.

Starting with prices, the OnePlus RT is likely to be priced under Rs 40,000 in India if we translate the China prices of the OnePlus 9RT. On the other hand, OnePlus Buds Z2 may launch at around Rs 6,000 if translated from Chinese prices.

In China, the OnePlus 9RT is touted as a gaming device and comes with cooling features targeting hardcore gamers. For specs, it features a 6.62-inch Full-HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 888, a bump over the OnePlus 9R, which came with a Snapdragon 870 processor.

The next big upgrade is in terms of the camera department. The OnePlus 9RT sports a 50-megapixel primary sensor in a triple camera setup. It packs a 4500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support, the same as the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro.

OnePlus Buds Z2 is the second device that’s likely to launch next month in India and will be the successor to the OnePlus Buds Z. Some of the highlight features of the OnePlus Buds Z2 include fast pairing with OnePlus devices, ANC, IP55, IPX4, and improved battery life. The OnePlus Buds Z2 has launched in Obsidian Black and Pearl White in China, so we can expect the earphones to launch in India with the same colour options.
