Most popular pilgrim center in tirupati, Tirumala temple to open up lord Venkateshwara darshan for people from June 11 with limited number of devotees nearly 6000 per day, by fulfilling the safety protocols advised by both central and state governments. Darshan will commence from 6.30 AM TO 7.30 PM followed by special VIP darshan from 6.30 AM to 7.30 AM.
Srivari Mettu footpath will be closed and devotees could use Alipiri footpath to come by walk to Tirumala. TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy said that the regular darshan will be continued from June 11, by having trial run darshan for three days from June 8, which composes only of Limited no.of TTD employees with proper identity card on June 8 and 9. This measure is to assume and check no of people to have darshan by following safety protocols like social distancing of 5-6 feet, masks,sanitizers etc. local devotees from tirupati are allowed for darshan on June 10.
In total, 3000 Darshan tickets will be issued online per day and the equal number of tickets will be distributed offline in Tirupati. people from other states have to prepare their own arrangements as getting permission for travel . each and every devotee will undergo thermal screening and their vehicles will be sanitized on Alipiri before heading towards Tirumala.
Accommodation can also be booked through online by providing various options of rooms in Tirumala. distribution of prasadam, Teertham or satari is abandoned as of now according to the central government’s direction. devotees are allowed near hundi after sanitized with herbal sanitizers.
