Tamil Nadu which principally opposing the NEET exam has now asked the students to be prepared to face the NEET exam until a solution is reached.

Addressing the media at the Secretariat, Health Minister Ma.Subramanian stated that ” Till this minute, NEET is in place and the students should be prepared for it” and he reiterated that the Government’s position on the NEET exams is still the same and the Government will strive to get an exemption from the entrance exam.

Minister also said that the DMK Government is taking all the steps to get an exemption from the NEET this year and accused that “the AIADMK Government’s recommendation on the NEET was returned by the President’s Office and turned down by the Central Government only because they sent it without any backing” and unlike the previous Government, DMK.

Government taking all the efforts to make their demand legally strong.

A committee headed by a retired Judge has been formed to study and submit a report about the impact of the NEET exams on socially backward class and State Government take appropriate actions based on the report, he added.

When Chief Minister MK Stalin met PM Modi on 17th June in Delhi, he stressed that all the national level entrance exams should be cancelled this year as the State Government’s have cancelled the 12th board exams this academic year.

Targeting the DMK Government over the NEET exam issue, the BJP has accused that the State Government is confusing the students and AIADMK has termed the Government’s decision to constitute a committee to study NEET impact as “time-buying tactic”
