TRAI New payment system comes Today

The new tariff scheme for TV channels has come into force across the country today. The method of receiving cable TV service through a set of box has been in operation since prepaid premium.

Under this scheme, 100 free channels will be provided at the 153 rupee fee with GST. It includes 25 channels of Doordarshan. Customers can choose the other 75 channels as their wish.

TRAI had already announced yesterday that the last day of January, customers should choose their own channels. The cable TV service will be announced for the monthly fees for February, which will not be paid in advance for prepaid customers.
