UGC NET 2021 exam for December 5, 2021 has been rescheduled in some of the cities of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. This decision was taken by NTA after a read alert was issued to both the states for Jawad cyclone.

University Grant Commission National Eligibility Test, UGC NET 2021 exam scheduled to be held on December 5, 2021, in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh has been rescheduled due to Jawad Cyclone. Both of the states were issued a red alert on December 4, 2021. The National Testing Agency, NTA, would upload the revised date sheet of the examination on the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in due course.

The admit cards for the exam was released on November 25, 2021. Not only UGC NET 2021 but IIFT 2022-24 examination scheduled to be held at Vijayawada & Visakhapatnam (Andhra), Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur, Cuttack (Odisha) and Kolkata, Durgapur (WB) has been postponed. UGC NET 2021 was scheduled to be held offline at various exam centres in the state.

The rescheduling notice of the UGC NET 2021 exam was released on December 3, 2021. The notice reads, “Due to the red alert issued in the states of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh for cyclone JAWAD for 4 December 2021, UGC-NET December 2020 and June 2021 Examination to be held on 5 December, 2021 has been rescheduled.”
