Actor Vishal is probably the first Kollywood actor who has kickstarted shooting for his film after relaxations for COVID-19 second wave has been announced.  Earlier this year, Vishal announced his next film with debutante Thu Pa Saravanan.

The film’s principal shooting began in May 2021 with the entire cast and crew. The shooting was progressing at a rapid pace. Unfortunately, the second wave of COVID-19 had stalled the progress. The extended lockdown delayed the further progress of the film.

Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu government began announcing back to back relaxations in recent weeks owing to the decrease in COVID numbers.  After new relaxations were announced last week, Vishal 31 crew resumed the film’s shooting at Ramoji Film City Hyderabad.

Vishal took to his social media handle and shared the making video of the shooting. The 51 seconds video shows the production unit and crew members including Vishal arriving at the set in Ramoji Film City.  While the crew had earlier planned many schedules, the ongoing situation has made them revise the plans.

Vishal confirmed that the shooting for Vishal 31 has begun in Hyderabad. The actor revealed that it is going to be a long schedule and the team will wrap up the movie by July end.

Further, the Thupparivalan actor ensured the protocols that are being followed on the sets. Finally, he expressed his happiness to be back at work.

“We have resumed shoot for #Vishal31 in Hyderabad, it’s going to be a long schedule & will be wrapping the movie by July end, shoot going on with all protocols being followed. Happy to be back at work…GB (sic),” tweeted Vishal.

Vishal is also a part of the multi-starrer film Enemy. Anand Shankar who directed films like Arima Nambi, Iru Mugan and Nota had announced the film, with Arya and Vishal, for his 4th directorial venture last year.  The film’s Dubai schedule was recently wrapped up in Dubai.

Anand Shankar’s previous directorial venture NOTA marked the Tamil debut of Vijay Devarakonda and had actress Mehreen Pirzada as the female lead. The film was produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja under Studio Green productions. It had music by Sam CS while cinematography was handled by Santhana Krishnan and Ravichandran. Despite the expectations engendered by the trailer, the film disappointed the audience.

On the other hand, Vishal’s previous film was Chakra co-starring Shraddha Srinath, Regina Cassandra, Srushti Dange, Robo Shankar, Nassar and Manobala. The action thriller was written and directed by MS Anandan.
