In Lucknow’s Ekana stadium , yesterday the match was held between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) . After the match there was a controversial exchange of words between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli. Another player Anil Mishra had to intervene to bring things back to normal . Since Kohli and Gambhir breached the IPL’s code of conduct they were fined 100 percent of their match fees. A formal hearing was not required. Both of them pleaded guilty to their charges . In his Social media handle, Kohli dropped a cryptic post. Marcus Aurelius was a former Roman emperor and philosopher as well. “Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.” LSG fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq and Kohli also had a verbal spatdown during the customary handshake. Fifty percent of match fees was fined for Naveen. Former Indian leg spinner Anil Khumble urged players to have mutual respect for each other. “Lot of emotion goes in (the game), but you don’t want to be displaying those emotions. Yes, you need to have a conversation but this is something that is unaccepted. No matter what, you have to respect the opposition. You have to respect the game,” Kumble said.
