The evaluation criteria for West Bengal, WB Board Exam 2021 for class 10 and 12 have been released today, on June 18, 2021. The results are expected to be released in July, 2021. The WB Class 10 results will be based on class 9 and class 10 internal exams. And, WB Class 12 results would be based on the marks obtained by the students in class 10, 11 and internal exams of class 12.

Earlier on June 7, 2021, the state government had cancelled the West Bengal Board Exams 2021 for class 10 and 12. The decision was taken due to the prevailing COVID 19 situation in the state. A high level committee was formed to access the situation and decide on the conduct of the examination.

WB Board Exam 2021: Evaluation Criteria for Classes 10, 12

  1. For Class 10 students: The board has decided to adopt 50:50 formula. Average of Class 9 mark sheet (50)+ the class 10 internal formative  assessment (50).
  2. Class 12: The board will adopt 40:60 ratio for marking class 12 students. 40 percent will come from best of four from class X mark sheet. 60 percent will come from Class XI annual exams + practical /project of class XII which had happened before COVID second wave.

There are 10 subjects in class 10 board.  Every subject will have independent assessment. The West Bengal board exam cancellation was favored by 80% vote as per the opinion asked by CM Mamata Banerjee. The decision to cancel class 10, 12 board exams was taken in the interest of the safety of the students.

As per the recent updates, WB Board Result 2021 for Classes 10, 12 will be releasing in July, 2021. However, students are advised to keep a check on this page for more updates on WB Board Result 2021.
