In his second political campaign in a week in the hill state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing public rallies in Himachal’s Sujanpur and Chambi on Wednesday.

Last week, on November 5, PM Modi addressed a public gathering in Sundernagar and Solan. In the rally, the prime minister had slammed the Congress, alleging that the grand old party had not just been against the security of the country but also its development.

Meanwhile, apart from the BJP, other political parties are actively involved in carrying out a hard-hitting campaign to prevent the saffron party from repeating the term for the second time. No political party has repeated the term in Himachal since 1985.

Congress’s newly elected President, Mallikarjun Kharge, reached Himachal on Wednesday on his two-day visit, where he will be addressing several public rallies.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay singh will also be visiting Himachal on Thursday to conduct a road show in support of AAP candidate Rajan Shushant.

The hill state, where the BJP is currently in power, goes to the hustings on November 12. Assembly polls in Himachal Pradesh will be held in one phase, and the counting of votes will be done on December 8.
