The 2016 recruitment panel for school teachers was constituted by the West Bengal School Service Commission                ( WBSCC) in the case of jobs scam.  On Monday in the case of jobs scam the Calcutta high court on Monday cancelled this entire panel. The court has dismissed nearly 24,000 jobs.  The hearing was that school teachers who were recruited illegally will need to give back their salaries within four weeks.  The division bench comprised Debangsu Basaak and Md Shbbar Rashidi .  The money is collected from these teachers by the district teachers. The cancelled recruitment panel includes all appointments of teaching and non-teaching staff, hired through an WBSC entrance examination in 2016, to various state-government-sponsored and aided schools in Bengal. Re – evaluation of as many as 23 lakh OMR sheets has been conducted. A fresh appointment process has been initiated by the WBSSC. Outside the court premises hundreds of job aspirants were waiting for the verdict and then rejoiced as soon as it was delivered. On March 20 high court had concluded the hearing in the case. Former Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee in 2022 was arrested for his links in the scam by the Federal Agency.
