In the picture, Kajol is seen leaning on Ajay’s shoulders while smiling. The actor has his hands folded and he was probably talking about his wife when the picture was clicked. He wrote, “You have managed to bring a smile to my face for the longest time now… Happy birthday dearest Kajol; will try to make it as special as you are @kajol (sic).”

THE AJAY DEVGN AND KAJOL LOVE STORY

Ajay Devgn and Kajol have been together for more than two decades now. While the couple is considered the epitome of love by the current generation, they did not get along when they first met on the sets of Hulchul (1995). Ajay had revealed in an in interview that the two were as different as chalk and cheese, and he didn’t like her initially. In fact, Ajay found Kajol to be a “loud, arrogant and a very talkative person”, and was not keen on meeting her for a second time. Meanwhile, she found him to be aloof and a snob.

However, during a scene that they were filming, Kajol had an overwhelming feeling that Ajay was going to play a “very crucial role” in her life. “We didn’t start going out for another two years after that, because I had a boyfriend, he had a girlfriend. We were just friends. Two years later, when we were both out of our respective relationships, we started seeing each other,” she revealed on a chat show.

Ajay came across as “stable and solid”, which is what drew Kajol to him. The couple tied the knot on February 24, 1999.
