Motorola is reportedly working on a new tablet, called the Tab G70. In the latest development, it has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification site, suggesting a launch in India soon.

Only the devices that are going to be launched in the near future are listed on the BIS. In addition, the tablet was also spotted on the global benchmark testing platform named Geekbench and the Google Play Console.

The tablet is rumoured to share similar specifications as Lenovo’s newest P11 Plus model. It could be powered by a MediaTek Kompanio SoC paired with 4GB RAM. The tablet is tipped to run on Android 11 with an upgrade to Android 12 in the future.

The BIS listing reveals some details about the tablet, as hardware and display resolution. According to it, the Moto Tab G70 will flaunt a WUXGA+ display with an 8.4-inch WUXGA+ 2000 x 1200 pixels IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 278ppi. The side of the tablet would also get a volume rocker and a power button.

The Motorola Moto Tab G70 is tipped to offer a 5-megapixel camera on the back panel. Meanwhile, on the front, there could be a 2-megapixel lens for selfies and video calling.

Under the hood, it will run on Android 11 and is likely to house a 5,000mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, the tablet should offer support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a headphone jack, and a Type-C port.

Motorola’s G70 tablet has appeared on Geekbench, the tablet is said to have scored 475 points in single-core testing and 1,569 points overall for this device which could be powered by an octa-core processor or more RAM at 4GB.

Motorola introduced its first tablet Moto Tab G20 in September for a price of Rs 10,999. The Motorola Tab G20 comes with a vibrant 8 HD+ IPS LCD display along with TDDI technology. The tablet is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22T octa-core processor with a single variant of 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The Moto Tab G20 packs a 5,100mAh battery as well.

Moreover, Motorola is gearing up to introduce Moto G31 in India next week. The smartphone already made a global appearance in March this year with an AMOLED display, 48-megapixel primary camera, Android 11 OS, and a 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone will mark its debut in India on November 29.
