On Friday, August 6, the most-awaited nine-film anthology Navarasa premiered on Netflix. With each short film based on the nine human emotions fear, anger, compassion, romance, valour, laughter, wonder, peace and disgust, the Tamil film is jointly produced by Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan.

NETFLIX’S NAVARASA FIRST REVIEWS ARE OUT

The nine-film anthology Navarasa released on Netflix today (August 6) at 12:30 pm. Each of the short stories are helmed by Rathindran Prasad, Arvind Swami, Bejoy Nambiar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Sarjun KM, Priyadarshan, Karthick Naren, Karthik Subbaraj and Vasanth. Taking to Twitter, fans revealed that they love Suriya and Pragya Martin’s Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru. Directed by Gautham Menon, the film is based on the emotion romance.

While many call it a visual treat on Twitter, there are some who are also blown away by Karthick Naren’s Project Agni. This short film stars Arvind Swami, Prasanna, Sai Siddharth and Poorna in pivotal roles.

Produced by Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan, Netflix Navarasa is a Tamil nine-film anthology. The proceeds from the project will help thousands of technicians who were affected during the Covid-19 pandemic. None of the directors or the actors have charged any remuneration for the film.
