Coimbatore Corporation is facilitating in new payment solutions . It is for the residents to pay property tax and water charges. Tax collection centres have been collecting payments. Online payments and swiping of cards also takes place. But very soon online cash transfers through NEFT  (National Electronic Funds Transfer) or RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) or Bharat Bill Payment System or Aadhaar-enabled payment system can be done. The corporation is holding talks with bankers to make this a reality. Furthermore, bill collectors or authorised staff may carry the machines to the assessee’s house and do it immediately. Central government gives instructions to the Corporation. Almost thirty percent of property tax is collected through net banking.
