Pramod Sawant appointed as New Chief Minister

Speaker Pramod Sawant was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Goa. The deputy chief minister has been given 2 persons to maintain the rule.

Following the death of Manohar Parrikar, the process of selecting the new chief minister appointed as midnight. Following this, BJP leaders spoke with the Goa Progress Party and the Maharashtrian Gomantak Party.

This was followed by Pramod Sawant for the post of new chief minister. Governor Mridula Sinha called on him to get the support of the coalition parties. Following this, Pramod Sawant took over as Chief Minister at midnight.
