Vignesh Shivan is currently working with Nayanthara in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, which is jointly produced by the duo. The rom-com also features Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha in the lead roles. The film’s shooting is on the verge of completion.

On October 21, the Podaa Podi director took to Instagram to post throwback photos with Nayanthara as they celebrated six years of togetherness. He captioned the photos saying, “doesn’t feel like 6 years! #kaathuvaakula silla moments of #naanumrowdydhaan to share wit ya’ll (sic).”

Nayanthara fell in love with Vignesh Shivan on the sets of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in 2015. The film, produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films, was a blockbuster hit. Starring Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and R Parthiepan, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan is a full-fledged commercial entertainer.

In March 2021, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan got engaged in a hush-hush ceremony surrounded by family members. The actress, in a recent TV interview, confirmed the same and added that she will inform their fans when they get married.
