Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan is known for his remarkable performances and whenever given a chance, he has proved why. On numerous occasions, Aamir has been praised for his dedication and hard work. The actor has been in the industry for over two decades, and the list of his hit films is uncountable. One of his remarkable performances is Lagaan, where he was seen opposite Gracy Singh.  

Once, during a press conference, while talking about the shooting of Lagaan, Aamir shared an anecdote that left many laughing. It so happened that, the reporter asked Aamir that he was to make Lagaan again, how will he do it and what would he like to change and why. 

The actor shared the technology has improved and now shooting with 10,000 people is easier than when they were filming Lagaan. The actor said that at that time, the team actually had to actually get 10,000 people. He added that it would be easier now at certain levels. “Technically to achieve but in its essence, I have realised that a film has its own challenges, no matter when you make the film, you have to face the challenges and how you face them, will decide how the film turns out,” said the actor. 

Aamir then narrated an incident, when they had to cancel the climax shoot and for that, he got a scolding from Reena Dutta. For the unversed, Reena was the producer of Lagaan, and Ashutosh Gowariker was the director. Aamir said that Ashutosh and Reena had a habit of jokingly fighting with each other and he was the one who would solve their issues. 

Talking about the scene, Aamir said that initially, they had a requirement of 500 people to shoot a scene, but when Reena arranged them and Ashutosh saw them, he wanted more people and the same led to fighting between them. Post which, Ashutosh went to Aamir and asked him to resolve the issue. 

The actor shared, “To Ashutosh merey pass aya and kaha ki Aamir log km lag rahey hai, kya karna hai? To Reena ne bola ki tum log shooting cancel ki baat mat karna. Karna hai tum logo ko shoooting karna hai. To maine kaha chal kar dekhtey hai. 
When I saw the mountain, mujhe bhi log km lagey to maine kaha ki Reena km to lag rahey hai. To she said, fir kya karna hai. I said fir kya cancel karo, aj chutti. Nahi hui shooting, Itni dant padi merey ko, itni dant padi. Shooting cancel kar rahey ho, masti kar rahey ho.” 

(Ashutosh came to me and said that there seem to be fewer people and what should be done. Reena quipped that we should not be talking about canceling the shoot and that the shoot must continue. So, I said let’s go and see and when I saw the mountain, I realised that there were too few people. So I told Reena that there are fewer people and when she asked what to do, I quipped that let’s cancel the shoot and have an off day. No shoot took place that day and I got a lot of scolding).
