6cr LPG connection released under ‘PMUY’ scheme

PM ‘Ujjwala Yojana’ is a truly revolutionary scheme. The Ujjwala Yojana has transformed the lives of 6crore Ujjwala beneficiaries and their families with sound health by providing a smoke-free environment.

Over six crore LPG connections have been disbursed under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana,the centre said on saturday.

The government launched the PMUY scheme to provide five crore deposit-free LPG connections to women belonging to these families, which were subsequently increased to eight crore.
