Independent  US  laboratory  Valisure has revealed that in certain brands of  acne treatments high cancer causing chemical benzyne was  found.  They are Target’s Up & Up , Reckitt Benckiser-owned Clearasil. On Wednesday Connecticut based lab New Haven said a petition has been filed by Valisure with US Food & drug administration. It’s to conduct an investigation to recall the products and for Industry guidance. As per Valisure 2% was found in Estee Lauder . In Walmart’s Equate Beauty acne Benzene, Proactiv and  PanOxyl Benzene was  detected and it was at “unacceptably high levels” in both the forms that is in prescription and over the counters in buying those products . Reckitt said Clearasil products were safe “when used and stored as directed on their labels.” Even Estee Lauder said it’s safe for use as intended. No comments were given by Target and Walmart. Companies like Procter & Gamble and Johnson and Johnson has made a recall of the products. It is because in dry shampoo, hand sanitizers and sunscreen Carcinogen was present. Valisure Co – founder said “The benzene we found in sunscreens and other consumer products were impurities that came from contaminated ingredients; however, the benzene in benzoyl peroxide products is coming from the benzoyl peroxide itself.”
