Dhanush is thrilled about his upcoming film with director Mithran Jawahar. Tentatively titled D44, the film is produced on a grand scale by Sun Pictures. On August 4, Sun Pictures took to social media to announce the rest of the cast. According to their social media posts, Nithya Menen, Prakash Raj and director-turned-actor Bharathiraja have been roped in to play lead roles in the film.

NITHYA MENEN TO ROMANCE DHANUSH IN D44

Nithya Menen was last seen in the Telugu film Ninnila Ninnila with Ashok Selvan and Ritu Varma. The film was also released in Tamil as Theeni and is directed by Ani IV Sasi. Nithya Menen has now signed her next Tamil film opposite Dhanush.

Sun Pictures, the film’s production house, took to Twitter to welcome Nithya Menen, Prakash Raj and Bharathiraja to the team. They released separate videos welcoming the three stars. The film’s shooting is expected to commence on August 6 with a pooja ceremony.

D44 marks the reunion of Dhanush with Yaaradi Nee Mohini director Mithran Jawahar. This film is also special because Anirudh Ravichander will be composing music for Dhanush’s film after five years. Together, they are popularly known as the DnA combo.

Apart from Nithya Menen, Raashi Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar, have been roped in to play pivotal roles as well. However, an announcement regarding the same is yet to be made. Soon, the rest of the crew will be announced by the makers.
