WhatsApp users are receiving a viral message on the chat platform that claims a third blue tick will be rolling out soon that will confirm that a government representative has read your chats.

The said claims are being made after fake news has led to mob lynching incidents from different parts of the country. WhatsApp isn’t rolling out a third blue tick and it is a fake news.

For those unaware, WhatsApp messages are fully encrypted which means that no one can read your chats except the sender and receiver. Some media outlets are running a ‘How to spot the third blue tick’ on your WhatsApp chat but it’s a fake news and you shouldn’t believe.
