Navika asked Neena Gupta about her two personalities as on the one hand she appears very docile and on the other, she got married in college to go to Srinagar on a trip. The actress replied, “Mujhe lagta hai ki yeh mere DNA ka dosh hai and how I have been brought up. Because my mother was double MA at her time, Politicial Science and Sanskrit. Congress workers, khadi pehnti thi, Khadi bunti bhi thi. Wo bhi aisi hi thi, mujhe lagta hai unhi se mila hai mujhe yeh. Ki ek tarah mai bolti hu ki accha shadi karna hai toh mai shadi kar leti hu, toh mai chalti jaati hu Srinagar, dusari taraf mai kisi ko phone nahi karti. Mai itni darpook kisam ki ladki hu koi vishwas nahi karega ki iss ne yeh-yeh kiya hai, wo yeh-yeh bhi kar sakti hai.

(I think this is the fault of my DNA. My mom was a double MA, she used to wear Khadi and weave Khadi too. She was also like this and I think I got all of this from her. On one hand I am like okay so I have to get married to go to Srinagar, then I will do it. On the other hand, I don’t even call anyone. I am a very coward girl. No one will believe that the girl who has done this and that, can also do all the other things.)

“I am a Gemini. Takleef hoti hain toh mai sherni ban jaati hu, varna mai geedadh hu,” she added. (When I am hurt I become a lioness, else I am a jackal)

Interestingly, while Neena didn’t say that she got married but she did hint about it.
