Ahead of Parliament’s Winter Session, an all-party meet will be held on Sunday, November 28. As per sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to attend the meeting.

WINTER SESSION

The Winter Session of Parliament will commence on November 29 and it is likely to conclude on December 23, an official communication from Parliament said earlier.

“The Seventh Session of Seventeenth Lok Sabha will commence on Monday, the 29th November, 2021. Subject to exigencies of Government Business, the Session is likely to conclude on Thursday, December 23, 2021,” the Lok Sabha Secretariat said in a statement. The Rajya Sabha had also issued a similar order.

FARM LAWS TO BE FORMALLY REPEALED

In his address to the nation on Friday, PM Modi announced that the Centre had decided to repeal the three contentious farm laws that a section of farmers had been protesting against since last year. He stated that the constitutional process to formally repeal the laws would be completed during the Winter Session of Parliament.
