Weathermen said Chennai may get light rain on today

Rainy season is started on july month…. As per the temperature is reduced in chennai..From an average maximum temperature of 37 C, temperature is set to fall by about 2C in July.
Weather report said that “Interior TN districts received widespread rain on Saturday. It will be the Chennai’s turn on Sunday.”

The maximum temperature over the last two days was 2-3 degrees below the normal. On Saturday, Chennai city recorded one of the coolest days of the year. From 31C at 11am, the temperature only rose to a maximum of 33.8C at 2pm on Saturday. The maximum temperature on Friday was 34.8C. On Sunday, there will be light rain or thundershowers in some parts of the city, as per the met office forecast. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 35C.

As the southwest monsoon has weakened over the southern peninsula, areas falling in the shadow region of the monsoon including Chennai, interior TN districts and the delta region may get rain in the coming days. Weathermen have predicted light to moderate rain on Sunday evening or night.
