The fluctuating global oil prices and exchange rate variation has been cited as reasons by Pakistan government  for the hike in prices of petroleum products.  The new petrol  rates in the country have increased to PKR 237.43 per litre. It’s been increased by 1.45 per litre. It’s by 8.30 per litre the price of kerosene oil has been reduced. The price of light diesel  has been reduced by PKR 4.26 litre. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday hiked the rates.  The  recent situations in Pakistan have lead to economic collapse. Approximately 33 million people would  have been affected and more than 1500 people would have been killed by the recent floods  in Pakistan which submerged large parts of the country. The Reuters reported that in Pakistan number of people displaced are hundreds of thousands of people. They  are living in open  and it will take two to six months for flood waters to recede. Diseases like malaria, dengue fever, skin and eye infections and acute diarrhoea in the country have developed due to stagnant waters.
